The Dinner Club

Project Type

Product Design

Date

May 2022

The Dinner Club is an honours project. The project is inspired by simple living, my love of cooking but lack of time.

I’m passionate about creating everyday objects, slow living, and design for a pleasant life. I take a minimalistic human-centred approach to my design process; this helps me to find out what people want and design the right products for them. I’m also very interested in branding and marketing and the strong impact it can have on the products I design.

The dinner club is a kitchenware set. The kits’ purpose is to inform and engage individuals who lack confidence and experience in the kitchen. It is a simple and accessible kit that consists of a frying pan, a wooden spatula, a wooden chopping board, a chef’s knife, a tea towel, a cookbook, and a cooking bible.
The main purpose of the kitchenware is functionality and providing the user with cookware that will give the best them the best opportunity to succeed in the kitchen. The cookware has a distinct minimal form which is intended to add a sense of timelessness and simplicity.

The dinner club cooking bible will help provide you with all the important things you need to know. You’ll learn how to use, care for, and store your kitchenware set, what different types of ingredients are and how to use them amongst other handy tips and tricks.
