Compine

Compine is a collection of easily giftable household objects made from a biodegradable pine needle composite accompanied by tea towels designed and inspired by the complex structures of pinecones. I designed these products for a class called art science and visual illustration.

Compine aims to bring nature into people’s homes and highlight the demand for society to become more sustainable. Many common household objects are often thrown away into landfill sites, the Compine collection offers a biodegradable material to consumers allowing them to compost their waste after the lifecycle of their product is over.

The Compine collection also includes textile designs for tea towels with easily recognisable pinecone patterns bringing the collection together. Compine intends to reconnect humans with nature in an appealing way while allowing users to explore sustainable living.
